In this section Real World Radio aims to expose the murders of social activists and the cases of death threats against leaders. We will report on the wave of criminalization of the social protest. This new section of Real World Radio is also a memorial page for all those who were murdered in their struggle for a socially just world.

    Chile: four Mapuche people found guilty in Cañete trial

    Paula Vial, National Public Defender, denounced a series of irregularities linked to the trial involving 17 Mapuche people. She says that the trial held in Cañete, 600 kilometers South from Santiago was filled with “absurd situations”. 14 out of the 17 people accused of terrorism, fires and attacks against wood trucks were acquitted.
