The Palestinian people’s demand for territorial rights, the report of the aggressive occupation that the Israeli state is carrying out with the US support and the countless human rights violations in Palestine were all key issues of discussion during the Peoples’ Summit in Rio+20.
“The fate of the Palestinian people depends largely on international solidarity”, Adam Bar told Real World Radio. He is a Palestinian member of the organization Sons of the Land.
Adam explained how the Palestinian communities have to put up with the systematic repression of the Israeli forces, they have no access to education, drinking water and cannot move freely either inside the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
In fact, Palestine was not admitted as a country with fully rights at the official Rio+20 summit on Sustainable Development. Adam Bar told Real World Radio that Israel has become totally dependent on US aid and that has implied the unification of the conservative forces that reject any political dialogue with Palestine.
