WALHI - Climate Justice #SavePeatlandEcosystem

From an ecological perspective, community management refers to the relationship and interdependence among all elements of the ecosystem to maintain a stable and balanced condition (homeostasis). Thus, sustainability and the preservation of environmental conditions are the main factors that must be looked after in order to build the productive economy of local communities.

WALHI believes that the best community practices for the management of forests and peat swamp ecosystems are the answer to many important issues, including: addressing the conflict, food sovereignty, the wellbeing of the people and mitigation efforts.
