On this week’s show we were joined in the studio by Karin Nansen, from Friends of the Earth Uruguay. She participated in the Verification Mission on Mining in Guatemala and told us about the effects that mining activities by transnational corporations have on the indigenous communities. We also had an update of the situation in Honduras, as this week the country entered its third month of dictatorship and the de facto regime decided to suspend all civil liberties for 45 days.
