2015 Special Broadcasts / Peoples´ Summit - Panama
In parallel to the Heads of State Summit of the Americas called by the Organization of American States (OAS), an Organizing Committee made up by different Panamanian organizations is organizing the Summit of the Peoples, Unions and Social Movements of our America, which will take place on April 9-11, 2015, in Panama, under the banner of: "Latin America, a homeland for all, with peace, solidarity and social justice". This Summit will also take place a decade after the defeat of the FTAA at the Mar del Plata Summit.
The Peoples´ Summit is organized by union, peasant, indigenous, student, human rights, environmental, feminist organizations and others that are part of a process that works towards social justice.
Real World Radio will be part of a communications team together with communication groups of other social movements at the Summit.

Latin American solidarity strengthened in the framework of the Peoples Summit in Panama
Panama has become the center of attention of national and international media, but even more for the peoples who have hope in organized sectors promoting concrete actions for the excluded peoples at the Peoples Summit. According to them, they see in the Americas Summit a lack of will and a worn-down rhetoric of solution to the region´s social and political problems. Read more
