Over 130 representatives from La Via Campesina International movements and allies from 4 continents, 10 regions and 28 countries met in Para State, Brazil, from April 13-17 to discuss, exchange and plan strategies around Agrarian Reform proposals. The date and place are not a coincidence. April 17, 2016, marks 20 years since the massacre of landless rural workers in El Dorado dos Carajas, Para. Since then, La Via Campesina International has established the international Day of Peasant Struggle on that date. The crime of the 19 landless peasants is still unpunished. Real World Radio shares a series of audio and video interviews in this special coverage.
