The aim of this campaign is to denounce and address all forms of violence exerted against rural women, and at the same time create mechanisms to put an end to violence against women.

The statement of the launching of the campaign reads that “the capitalist and patriarchal systems are the foundations of the violence towards women”.

The women from La Vía Campesina Honduras highlight their rejection to “institutional violence exerted against women during and after the Coup d´Etat where women participating in the resistance demonstrations were arrested, kidnapped and raped”.
