The environmental federation demands the developed countries, who are historically responsible for the greenhouse gas emissions, to agree urgent and dramatic cuts of their polluting emissions now, as well as other demands.

La Via Campesina comprises hundreds of millions of small farmers from all over the world and nearly a hundred representatives of this big social movement are here in Copenhagen to demand once again small-scale sustainable agriculture as the solution to the food, financial and climate crises.
