Secrecy and lack of transparency have featured the UN negotiations on Climate Change that have been taking place this week in Bonn, Gernany, warned on Thursday BUND – Friends of the Earth Germany´s climate campaigner Ann Kathrin Schneider.

In a thorough interview with Real World Radio a day from the end of the negotiations, Schneider talked about the reasons given by the UN to prevent social movement and organization observers from entering the international negotiation rooms.

The member of BUND also made reference to some of the key issues dealt with at the negotiations according to information they had access to: the “loss and damage” mechanism”, climate crisis adaptation, climate finance and the reduction of polluting emissions, among others.

She also talked about the civil society preparations in France and Europe in the path towards the Conference of the Parties (COP 21) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change that will take place from November 30 to December 12 in Paris. The current round in Bonn is the prelude to the Paris COP.
