Demonstration at Climate COP in support of African proposal on renewable energy

On Friday, Friends of the Earth International and young activists member of the organization Earth in Brackets held a demonstration at the COP 20 on Climate Change taking place in Lima, Peru, to support a proposal submitted by the African Group to promote renewable energy.

In the demonstration, the activists rejected “dirty” energy, such as fracking, coal plants and mega-dams, among others, and promoted renewable energy sources such as solar and wind power, energy efficiency and decentralized, community energy.

You can see the photo gallery below and listen to activist Malika Peyraut of Friends of the Earth France, who spoke during the event.
