Social Agreements form an important part of logging contracts, as they govern benefits and access rights of the affected communities with respect to logging operations in their area. A Social Agreement is negotiated directly between the logging company and the Affected Community. This week’s radio program will provide an opportunity to inform the public about the importance of Social Agreements for communities, and update the public on the current situation with their renegotiation.
